Nintendo's press conference isn't until tommorow, but they've already dropped an interesting announcement regarding the Wii remote, as IGN reports that a press release revealing the existance of a new remote accessory dubbed "MotionPlus" has been issued.
MotionPlus is a plug-in device that will hopefully improve games by "more quickly and accurately reflecting motions in a 3-D space." It works in conjunction with the accelerometer and the sensor bar to allow more precise movements with the remote.
Although details are scarce and probably won't be revealed until tommorow, this sounds like it could greatly improve controls for shooters and and other games requiring a lot of pointing. Let's keep our fingers crossed.
